DEATH OF MR. A. CUCKSEY.
' j An old resident, of this <ity. Mr. j Alfred Cuckscy. died this morning in the seventy-ninth year of hie agp at liia residence. Mount Eden Road. lift arrived in j Auckland over half a century ago with j his brother, who kept one of thn first i shops for ihe sale of music in Queen Street. Mr. Cuckeey wae in business in the city as a groc«r in \\ aketield Street, and many years ago opened Ciiritscy's ' store, Mount E-ticn Road, from which he retired some time apo. "Cnckaey's Corner" will, however, carry on the name i of deceased, as it was well known, Iving ' at one time the starting point for "buses ruiiniiij; to Qtipp.n Street. Mr. Cwksey is survived by hiR wife. One son (Mr. K. H. <iiekseyi is at prceent on n trip to tho Oltl Country, The interment takes place to-morrnw", the funeral leevin? hi? residence for Purewa at 3 p.m. I
