The French newspapers accuse Mr. Lloyd George of being responsible for wrecking the conference. Generally they ascribe the breakdown to the publication of Eurl Balfour's Xote. which had not permitted Mr. Lloyd (leorge to take steps towards compromise. The Berlin newspapers vigorously refute M. Poincare's assertion that Germany is stubbornly committing bankruptcy. — (Renter.)
