MRS. CRANSTOUN'S STORY. . WHOLE FAMILY INOCULATED. ANTI-INFLUENZA SERUM. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) MELBOURNE, August 15. , Airs. Cranstoun, wife of Dr. Cranstoun, , who died yesterday in the hospital after , having been found unconscious in his | home at Hampton, where three of his , children and a companion of his wife , were found dead, and his wife and two other children unconscious, has suffi- , ciently recovered to make a statement, which is corroborated by two of her daughters. She said that on Sunday evening her husband informed her that . he had prepared a new antidote -for influenza, and asked her to allow him to test it on her before giving it to his patients. She acquiesced and was inoculated. The doctor then said that while ho was about ■ it he might as well "do the lot," meaning the other members of the household. The whole family, including Miss Baylis, his wife's companion, were then treated. About an hour later the mother and daughters were inoculated with a second dose of the antidote. Xo explanation was given by Mrs. Cranstoun as to why morphia was injected.— (A. and X.Z.)
