Wilson, S.M.h Norman Kelleway said that deceased was his brother, and was 4S years of age. He was married and had two children. Daisy Kelleway, wife of the. deceased. deposed that, for a number of years ho had suffered from nervous trouble. About five weeks ago deceased said he was afraid that his brain would snap. He appeared very distressed on Friday evening and was worrying about his work. On Saturday morning witness and her [husband went to see a specialist, but on alighting from a tramcar in Queen Street he lost all recollection of the nam, of the specialist. Both went to the Seventh Day Adventists , Church on Saturday morning and to a tent meeting in Upper Queen Street in the afternoon. They retired to l»ed that night, at 11 p.m. About 8 a.m. yesterday her eldest boy informed witness that his father was not in bed. They slept in the same room, but in separate bed?. Deceased was in the habit of getting up early and going for walks. Sergeant Waterman testified ac to the finding of the body. A verdict was returned by tlie coroner that the deceased committed suicide by drowning whilst in a state of unsound mind.
