INDIA'S FINANCE.
TARIFF AND INDUSTRY. IMPERIAL PREFERENCE. DELHI, July 7. The Fiscal Commission, which has been sitting since last September, has concluded its report. Though it has notyet been submitted to the Government, it is understood the report is certain to have the disstnt of some Indians. Otherwise it is fairly unanimous. The recommendations include discriminative protection, the abolition of countervailing excise duties, Imperial preference where no economic loss would result to India, the free flow of foreign capital, the appointment of a Tariff Board, and a policy of general industrialisation of the country.—(Reuter.)
