KATOA'S OFFICERS PROMOTED
The three officers of the Union Co.'s steamer Katoa have been promoted in recognition of their services in rescuing the crew of the Wiltshire. Mr. T. H. Bowling, the chief officer, has been promoted to chief officer of the Koyal mail steamer Maunganui; Mr. E. H. Wilson, second officer. will succeed Mr. Bowling as chief officer of the Katoa; and Mr. W. Scantleburv, third officer, will be promoted to the "position of second officer on the Katoa.
