AY. ,£.ycett (Australia) beat Pysee (India), _ —0, C—4. .Liout.-Culonel Kiugscote (England) beat Baron de Morpurgo (the Italian Davis,Cup player), 7—D, 4—o, G — l. In the final, Kingscotc beat Lycett, G—S, B—l, retired.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.) In the North London championships last week Captain Barclay, the ex-Tasinnni«n player, beat, Baron do Morpurgo. Moriiiirgo proiluqed a service as- wonderful as Patterson's: .His backhand' drives were the hardest ever seen. on. an English court, and his play iv nine consecutive games would have broken up any opposition. He reached 6-3 and .30 to O.tn the third set, and shonld have won. but the umpire did not sight the ball, and Morpurgo sportingly refused the wlnnlnt point.
