The following candidates were successful in passing the State midwifery examination held on May 31 and June 1:— Passed First.—Newth, Maud (R.N.), St. /Helens Hospital, Wellington. Passed with 90 per cent or over. —• Burgess, Martha (R.N.), St. Helens Hospital, Wellington; Clark, Blanche (R.N.), Alexandra Home, Wellington; Randall, Jessie (R.N.), Waikari Hospital; Lundon, Annie S. (R.N.), Batchelor Hospital, Dunedin; Gunn, Grace M. (R.N.), I Wairau Maternity Hospital; Brown, '.Margaret, St. Helens Hospital, Dunedin. Those who passed with 75 per cent or I over included the following of special iuterest to our readers:—Dorothy Barj ker, May Sine Nelson, Annie G. Pohlen, all of St. Helens Hospital, Auckland, Florence M. Bascand (R.N.), Kathleen 'M. Parnham (R.N.), Ezit M. Walker, Ellen Housten (R.W.), all of Whangarei Hospital; Hilda M. Packer, Kawakawa j Hospital. I The following candidates from St. 'Helens Hospital at Auckland were also ;successful:—Ethel M. Dryland, Emma (R.N.), Lilian E. Rogers. I Partial Pass—Christina Owen.
