THE COMMUNIST PREAMBLE. ATTEMPT TO FOLLOW MOSCOW STRONG RESENTMENT. (By Cable.—Press Association.— Copyright.) SYDNEY, May 28. A storm of protest has been caused among New South Wales Labour leagues and unions by the adoption by the Inter-State Labour Conference at i Brisbane of the doctrines of the Moscow International in place of "White Aus-' tralia"' in the Australian Labour party | objectives, and it will be the subject of contest at the annual conference on Saturday next. A strong section has developed which is outspoken in its resentment of the attitude of the Brisbane conference in removing all traces of Australian sentiment from Labour's objective. The pro- j erodings at the coming conference will decide the fate of socialisation. If the i conference ratines the new objective | framed at the Brisbane Convention it will, in the opinion of many delegates, I>(> useless to discuss the greater portion of the business submitted by the leagues and unions, as most of the motions are quite inconsistent with a scheme for the control of industry by a supreme economic council which is a corollary of the new objective. The business paper j clearly indicates that, as explained in the statement issued by the Australian Labour party, the rank and file have not been organised to the point of understanding the propositions ami, socialisation is an uncomprehended objective.— (A. and N.Z.
