DAVIS CUP COMPETITIONS.
AUSTRALIANS IN LONDON. LOXDOX, May 28. The Australian Davis Cup tram will commence work on Monday in the Middlesex championships, for which all four have entered. .1. O. Anderson has arrived well, and G. Tj. Patterson and P. O'Hara Wood are expected to-morrow. Anderson has arranged to partner R. W. Lycctt in the doubles for the world's championship at Wimbledon. Patterson will partner Wood, and Barclay will partner Wertheim. In the final of the Surrey lawn tennis championship, B. T. C. Norton (South Afrira) defeated R. W. Lyeett (formerly of Australia), 9—7, 7—5, I—fi, β-l. In the final of the mixed doubles, Lyeett and MiseMcKane defeated Norton and Miss Ryan. 9—7, 6—4. In the final of the men's doubles, Lycet.t and Xorton beat Barclay and Ingram, o—2, (A. and X.Z.)
