NEW SOUTH WALES RETURNS. The final returns of the result of tl'« wheat harvest for the season 1021-22 have hpen received by the Government Statistician (Mr. H. A. Smith), and the quantities produced of grain and of hay are now available. The area harvested for grain nag 3.202.G10 acres, including 65,600 acres which failed entirely. The yield of 5,500 acres, principally in the western slopes, was de--4R8.!>30 acres, including 5,7*0 acres" wbhh failpd, and 17.570 acres fed-off, making a total of 3,689.110 acres sown with wheat. The grain harvested amounted to 14.216 660 hags, equivalent to 42,650,000 bushels, or 13.3 bushels per acre. The production of bay was 579.800 tone, or 1.24 tons per acre. In the Riverina and Central Plains, wbe c half the wheat crop of the State Is produced, the actua! yield wae 1,038.000 ■bushels, or 4.4 per cent below the early estimate.
