TERRORISM IN SHEFFIELD.
WORKERS INTIMIDATED. POLICE BATON CHARGE. I Receiver! ltf.yo a.m.) LOXDOX, May lfi. During the past few weeks bodies of unemployed have, visited various factories in Sheffield, intimidating the workers, many of whom have been terrorised into leaving their employment. Many of the works are now guarded by police. A crowd of 3000 attacked Jcssop's works, overpowering the guards, and wrecking the offices. A small body of mounted police was driven back by volleys of stones. Finally a police squadron of 40 mounted men charged with batons, scattering the crowd.—(A. and X.Z. Cable.)
