A DISPUTED ACCOUNT
A ca-e came before M>. W. R. McKean, S.M., to-day, in which the dispute was regarding an order for grass seed. etc. F. M. Winstone (Mr. Mackay) sued W. Hall and A. G. Hall. Tologa Bay (Mr. Hogben). to recover £110 for goods sold and delivered, including interest. Evidence was given on plaintiff's behalf that the order was taken and. the goods delivered in 1020. A letter was put in from Mrs. Annie G. Hall, stating that things had come to such a pass they had not been able to do anything, and the seed was still at the landing shed. A paragraph read: "Perhaps you will allow us to pay interest on yaur money until ye are ablo to pay you either by instalments or a.s we can."
Mr. Hogben said defendants claimed the fped when ordered was not to be sent until defendants" land was ready.
Mr. McKean gave Juagment for the amount claimed, less half'the sum asked as interest which <t had been agreed to divide.
