A footballer named Frederick Jatnee Lucas, aged 20. was admitted to thej Auckland Hospital on Saturday night! suffering from severe internal injuries | sustained while playing in the match,! PoiMonby v. Grammar Old Boys, thati afternoon. On inquiry at the hospital! to-day, Mr. Lucas was reported to be making satisfactory progress. Several othp.r players on Saturday sustained injuries, but nothing of a serious nature! ha.s been reported. While playing in the Eden v. Xewton match a player named, Jcdeph was removed from the field in; an unconsi-ioue state suffering the effectsi of concussion. !
