ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

i MEETING A.F.A. The usual weekly meeting of the Auckland Football Association was held on Monday evening, Mr. V. A. Williams presiding over a well attended meeting. In the referees' report on Saturday's matches it was stated that Y.M.I.A. had infringed the rules regardiug club colours. worn the registered design on their jerseys. The explanation made was that new seasou's supplies were not to hand but the matter would be attended to immediately. Technical Old Boys were reported to have included in their team a player who had already played for a different club in a previous match. The referee, the player concerned, and the club secretary will appear before the committee on Tuesday next, when an inquiry will be held. As there was some delay In the commencing of the earlier matches, referees are instructed that In matches preceding the .f p.m. fixture games must not be allowed to go over the time set down for their conclusion, but arranged according to time remaining and the spell omitted. V.M.C.A. stated that they would be unable to place two teams In the second division as they had hoped, and requested that their registration of the A team be cancelled. This request was granted as the team had not competed in the competition. An application from a Huntly Boy Club for matches to be arranged with this association was favourably received, but owing to the fact of that club being under the control of the 'South Auckland" Association they were advised to make their request through that body. The commencement of the sixth division competition was rurther postponed. The fifth division will make a start with iheir competition on Saturday next. Messrs. Christian and G. Campbell will be the officials in charge of matches on Victoria Park for Saturday, and club secretaries are requested to hand in results of their matches to these gentlemen for publication in the Tress. On the Domain Mr. F. Ritchie, at Mount Albert Mr. Saunders. and on the North Shore Club's grounds Messrs. Williams and Haycock will act in a similar eanacity. it Is necessary for the winning club in all cases to forward in wrltimi the result of its match, which will act as a check with the report forwarded by the referee.
