SUDDEN DEATH.
An elderly woman (Mr*. Mary Louisa Mabel Andrews), residing at HO. Church Street, Devonport. whose husband (Mr. Edward Andrews), a returned soldier, is at present an inmate of Kin<r George Hospital, Rotorua, whilst returning home on Monday evening from the Devonport wharf after seeing some friends off l>? boat, suddenly collapsed in Albert Road, eayinjr to a passer-by who noticed her condition, "I am done for." Dr. Bennett, who lives close by. was quickly in attendance, but she expired i 5 minutes after Ins arrival. The matter was reported to the police, but as Dr. Bennett had previously attended the deceased, and was prepare! to certify as to the cau<r- of death, the coroner ( Mr. McKean. S.\r., that no inquest was nec-essary.
