THE AUTUMN MEETING. CONCLUDING DAY'S RACING. TIXOHORO WIXS THE HANDICAP. , • The concluding day's racing in connection with the Avondale Jockey Club's Autumn Meeting took place on the club's course at Avondale to-day. There was a good attendance for an off day. and the weather was inclined to be showery. The track was very heavy. Results were:— WAIKUMETE HANDICAP HURDLES, of SOOsovs. Two miles. SNAKE, 'a g, syrs.. hy Quin Abbey— Aston (Mr. R. Hannon), 10.3—Rennle 1 SHELL SMOCK, b m, aged (Mr. A. Brown), 10J.0—-Copestake 2 THRACE, hr g. aged 'OMr. G. Green). 11.5—Chaplin 3 Also started: Starland 10.11. Xo Bother 10.11, 'Paddington Green _0.9. I'Keystone 10.0. Tenacious 9.4 Gulanform 9.2J, Daddy'a Girl 0.2, Master "Bruce 9.0.

When they were let go Thrace was quickest to begin, hut Daddy* Girl was quickest to the first fence, followed by iSnake, Tenacious. Shell Shock, Keystone, Paddington Green. Gulanform. Xo Bother, Starland, Thrace, and Master Bruce in that order. Xo Bother fell at the second obstacle. Snake going on in the lead, showine the way past the stand. Just In front of Keystone, after which came Shell Shock, Daddy's Girl. Tenacious, Paddington Green, Starland. Gulanform, and Thrace, with Master Bruce last, the last-named and Gulanform being culled up shortly after. A faulty jump lost Keystone his position before they entered the back stretch. Snake taking charge, followed by Shell Shock and Tenacious, while Thrace made a forward niove. iSnake and Shell Shock drew out from the field crossing the top. an Interesting duel between the pair resulting in Snake getting the decision by two lengths. Thrace finished well, and got third, three lengths away, with Tenacious fourth, and then came Daddy's Girl, Starland, Paddington Green, and Keystone. Time, U. 58 3-S. Xo Bother was a shade better favourite than Snake.

When they passed the stand Sussex was the pilot, followed by Marble Glass, Rosullus. Golden Glass, and 1 T ncle Jack, with Princess Rell. which whipped round when the barrier lifted, last. Going along the back Rosullus ran Into- the lead, with Sussex. Marble Glass, Uncle Jack, Ben Nevis, GoU Jacket, and Golden Glass following, and Wanigan heading the others. Grossing the top Ben Xevls moved up alongside Ro«ullus, Wanigan ruuning up third, and Marble Glass. Gold Jacket, and Golden Glass most prominent of the others, Sussex falling away beaten. Ben Xevis headed Rosullus when they turned for home, an* at the distance was well clear, but Marble Glass, 'finishing strongly under pressure, gradually got to him, getting up in the last few strides to win by a short neck. Golden Glass was half a length further back, third, and then came Gold Jacket. Te AkltaL Semper Idem, and Wanigan. the last pair being Qui ' Bono and Battleplane. Time, 2.1. Dorinda 6.9, Rosavella 6.7, and Owen 6.13 J. When they were let go Refinement moved first, but Finelli soon ran to the front, leading along the back, followed by Xocturne, Bretland. Uncle Alex, and Bonny Canny, with Refinement most prominent of the others. "Finelli showed the way across the top. with Xocturne almost on terms, and Bretland. Bonny Canny, Refinement, Just, and Uncle Alex racing as named. Finelli and Xocturne swing out wide as they came to the straight, but the latter had charge at the distance, where Bonny Canny and Just came through, an interesting finish seeing Bonny Canny get the decision hy a neck from Just, which was a similar distance In front of Xocturne. Far North was fourth, and then came Refinement. Fiorent, and Uncle Alex. Time, 1.18. Uncle Alex was favourite.

Broadwood 7.5, Perfect Day 7.5, and Penona 6.9. Khyblai Khan and Loyal Irish moved first, and then Landslide showed our, but passing the stand Some Fashion was the pilot, with Broadwood on his quarters, nnd Landslide, Arch Salute, Loyal Irish, Uncle Xew, Tinohoro, Penona, Khublal Khan, Mangamahoe, and Perfect Day racing In that order. Going along the back Some Fashion was making the pace, Broadwood and Arch Salute handy, and then came Landslide, Tinohoro, and Loyal Irish handy, and Prince Jewel, Uncle Xed, Penona, Khublal Khan, Mangamahoe, and Perfect Day racing as named. Tinohoro ran through as the ypassed the four-furlong post, and crossing the top was out three lengths in front of Some Fashion, after which came Alch Salute, Broadwood, and Loyal Irish, while the back kdlvislon closed up. Tinohoro came round the home turn with his advantage unaltered, and though he was stopping badly, kept off the late runs of some Fashion and Prince Jewel, and won by three-quarters of a length between Some Fashion and Prince Jewel. Khirblai Khan was fourth, and then came Landslide. Loyal Irish. Perfect Day. Uncle Ned. Penona. Mangamahoe, and Broadwood. with Arch Salute last. Time, 1.58. Tinohoro was favourite. Oak Abbey showed the way to the first fence, which he struck hard and came to grief, bringing down Oakleigh and Silver Pine. Te Toa then toot charge, followed by Romance. Konra, Luperino, and Totara Jack, in order. The last named stopped at the fence near the seven furlong post the second time round, and Te Toa made the running till the first fence by the number board was reached, when he came down and Romance took charge, to be beaded by Konra as they went along the back, and though Luperino put Id a strong challenge over the concluding stages he could not reach Koura, which won by six lengths. Romance was a similar distance away third Te Toa completing the course after betae remounted by a spectator. Time, 6.13 2-5 Luperino was favourite.
