BILLIARDS CHAMPIONSHIP.
FALKINER BEATS REECE. LONDON, April 23. The semi-final in the billiard championship between Falkiner and T. Reeee was won by the former, the scores being: — Falkiner 8,000 Reecc 7,289 There was a sensation at tbe opening of tbe play. Recce failed to appear at the stipulated hour and the referee disqualified him and awarded the match to Falkiner. Later Recce arrived and explained that the delay was due to a taxi cab accident. Falkiner offered to resume, and play proceeded.
The scores in the match. 10,000 up. between Totliill and C. McConachy, tbe New Zealand bilHardist, are as follow: —
