SWIMMING.
Attempts to swim the English Channel are likely to be more numerous than ever during the coming summer. Mr. A. Alexander, president of the Channel Swimming Club, has just presented a new trophy, open to competitors of all nationalities, which will become the property of the first person to swim the Channel.
