Tie" 'Xew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Co. held a sale of bloodstock __ C.imtirtH Park this morning, when a number of liornes in training nnd brood mnTcs and foals, the property of Mr. D. A. Price, were offered by auction. There was only a fair attendance, and T>iddin_ was very slack, most of the lots offered falling to reach the reserve and wcrA passed in. Sl„ hundred Buinens was hid for the promising colt ■Bret-land, but lOOOjrns was the reserve, while a yearling full brother to Tactful was passed In at 2jogns. the reserve beln? ■MOsns. Any of the lota can be bought privately. The lots sold were: Quaestor. Mr. •H. SwaffleUl. 25_ns; foal, by Lucullus— Owcntaii. Mr. Foss, o."»gns: "-brood mare Ow-nind. Mr. Cnnninyham. -Ogns. The chestnut horse "Surveyor, which was offered on behalf of Mr. "W G. stead, brought UOgns. falling to the bid of Mr. J. 'Pate-son.
