INTER-PROVINCIAL FOURS. WON BY CANTERBURY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.} CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday. The weather conditions were perfect for the inter-provincial fours, over a course of two miles, which was rowed to-day at Corsair Bay. The water was as smooth as glass, with just the slightest southerly breeze. The result was:—Cauterburv 1, Otago 2. Marlborough 3, Auckland 4, Wellington 0, At the end of a quarter mile Canterbury were in the lead, and nt the mile post they were three lengths ahead. Eventually Canterbury won with the greatest ease by seven lengths, with Otago three lengths in front of Marlborough. No time Was taken. The. challenge cup, presented by the Auckland Rowing Association, was handed to the winning crew, who also received a cheque for £50. given by the Canterbury Rowing Association.
