: Another Methodist minister, the I*ev. JW. 0. Oliver, died at Christohurch on Good Friday. He was bom in Scotland in 1842, and started his ministry in the Methodist Church at Pert Ohal- > mere in 1867. He was president of the t Jftw Zealand Methodist Conference in i 1887, and was chairman of different districts for 17 years.
