A TITLED GARDENER.
1 I WH'E OE A CHAB.WOMAM. DIVORCE SUIT DISCLOSURES. I MELBOURNE, April 14. Sensational disclosures were made, during the hearing of a petition in the Divorce Court. It was shown that a man named Meikle, who is being sued for divorce by his wife, is in reality Sir Hector Douglas Mackenzie Meikle, a baronet, who was working as a gardener. Even after he succeeded to the title in IPKi he continued to cycle to work daily, and apparently was more concerned with his flowers than with his new honour. In tilt' petition Lady Meikle stated that she purchased their homo with money saved fmm her wages as charwoman, 1 which occupation fhc followed shortly " j after their marriage in 1016. and I continued to follow ever since.— iA. ana ! | N.Z.
