WINTER SHOW
INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION TO MAKE A DISPLAY. The Auckrand A. and P. Association intends to hold a winter show dnrm? the first week in July., and recently the Auckland Industrial Association was approached and aeked to assist with the prnvect. The latter body did not think that there w'aa sufficient space allowed it to make an adequate display, and the, chairman. Mr. F. M. Hills, and the secretary Mr .T. Findlay.- were appointed; to wait' on the A. and P. Association to discuss the matter. Keporting on the interview at yesterday's meeting of the Industrial Association the chairman stated that they ha aeked the A. and P. Association for a shed on the Central wharf, where it was proposed to hold the show, and this had been granted. In consequence he had given the A. and P. Association a moral undertaking that the Industrial Association would proceed with the matter of organising an industrial exhibition. The extra space made all the difference to the Industrial Association. Looking to the future he thought that this- would give the Industrial Association an excellent etart. Mr Dearsley wished to know if the association intended to ihave district exhibits, to which the chairman replied that it was hoped to have district courts. Mr Garlick wanted to know how the space would be allotted. He thought that some definite method should be decided upon, so that the exhibition could be made as representative as possible. Mr. J. Allnm remarked that the charges for space should be the same as that asked for other parts of the winter show. The chairman said that these matters could be attended to by the committee, which would be appointed to organise the exhibition. After further discussion it was decided that the general committee of the association should form the exhibition committee, I with power to add to its number.
