RUN DOWN BY MOTOR CAR.
YOUNG WOMAN SUCCUMBS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GISBORXE, Monday. As the result of an accident which occurred at Hexton, a suburb of Gisborne, on March 7, a young woman, Frances Jean McCarthy, died in the Public Hospital to-day. The deceased and another young woman were going home late at night leading a bicycle when a. motor car containing two young men and two young women crashed into them. Miss McCarthy had her right leg fractured and sustained a severe cut on the head. Her companion escaped with a severe shaking. An inquest has been ordered.
