SOLDIERS ORGANISING.
SIR AXDREW RUSSELL'S PLEA. ißy Telegraph. -Press Association..! TAURANGA, this day. ;->ir Andrew Russell, president of the R.S.A., address*d a public meeting here last night. He urged upon returned men the importance of joining the association. Eighty per cent, of the men returned fit, and it was their duty to keep together in a strong organisation to hsJp the twenty per cent, no longer able to tight the battle of life. He strongly ' urged self reliance. Good leaders were ' wanted, and if the country had sufficient j beloved captains there would be an end to all our difficulties. He was heartily cheered on concluding. Sir Andrew left this morning for Auckland, where he delivers a public j address tonight. Yesterday he. jour- I neyeil to To Puke, Pongakawa and Ota. marakau, where he met soldier settlers and discussed their difficulties. At Te Pilkf' he addressed the public from the Post. Office st«p«. He met with a hearty j reception.
