i ■ 1 A BIG CAFE DESTROYED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) ! CHRISTCHURCH. this day. A lire which broke out early this l s morning in a dwelling occupied by H. 0 M. Price resulted in the destruction of the Ozone Cafe, a. fine building in north- : cm Xew Brighton extensively patronised > in the holiday reason, also various out- , buildings, including a motor garage and • cafe. The buildinj; was owned by Mrs. * Hurlcß and was beinpr taken over today 'by her son-in-law. It was insured for 1 £4000 and its contents for £300. Price's . building was insured for £250 contents for £50. and gara<;e for £100. all in the State office. The stock in a jrrocery ■ shop in the cafe block occupied by Mr. Thompson was insured tor £400 in.the Yorkshire. The lire spread so rapidly ; that practically nothing was saved.
