FLIGHT TO GISBORNE.
THE D.H.9 RETURNS. The Canterbury Aviation Company* De Haviland 0 airplane, which arrived at Auckland on Tuesday morning after a fast air journey from Gisborne, returned to Gisborne this morning. Cautain Buckley waa the pilot, and was accompanied by Captain Brake, and Mr. R. C. Fisken, a racehorse owner who drove at the trots yesterday. The machine got away just before eight o'clock this morning and landed on the beach at Gieborne at 10.3.J a.m. To get from Auckland to Gieborne entails 24 houre by steamer and two days ovei-land, while the journey by air is a little over two hours.
