COOKS AND STEWARDS
COMPANY SEEKS NEW AWARD. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. The Union Company has filed counter claims against the Federated Cooks and Stewards' Union for a new award. Th* .claims of the union provided for an , increase of £2 per month for stewards and £3 for cooks. The wages proposed by the company are, it is said, equivalent to a reduction of £4 10/ a month on current rates.
