TRIPLE DROWNING.
SWEPT OUT TO SEA. BRISBANE, MarcK 16. A sad triple drowning fatality occurred at Burleigh Heads, near Southport, to-day. Mr. and lira. Ernest West and two children, a girl and a boy, aged eight and five respectively, went fishing in Tallebudgera Creek. The current was strong, and West threw out an anchor, which gripped a 6tone and canted the boat, which filled with water, and the occupants were swept out to sea. West regained the shore, but Mrs. West and the children have not been seen since.
Sharks to the number of eight or nine were seen in the immediate vicinity of the victims just before they disappeared.
