REPLY' TO A COMPLAINT. (By Teleffrapb.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. A strong complaint hy the Hon. Mr. Edgar about delay in medical examination of the Maheno's passengers was answered by Mr. Daviee, assistant medical officer, who denies that the passengers were mixed with the crew for examination. Twenty thermometers were U6ed and were disinfected for at least two minutes in carbolic, which was probably what Mr. Edgar tasted. The health clearance was completed in a little over one hour.
