FAT STOCK MARKET.
A HEAVY PEN. FURTHER DECLINE IN VALUES. Messrs. Alfred Buckland and Sons leport:— To-day at our weekly Westfield fat stock market we penned beef to the number of 6<5S head, comprising 523 steers, 120 cows and heifers and six bulls. These numbers just about represent a record. Quality generally was dirst class. There was a steady demand, but the entry was in excess of requirement, and all classes suffered a further decline in value. Extra choice ox sold at £1 3/, choke and prime IS/ to £1 2/, ordinary and plain 10/ to 17/6, rough *beer 5/ to 10/, prime young cow and heifer beef 16/ to £1, ordinary cow 12/ to 15/, Heavy prime steers ranged in price from £S to £9 15/, lighter prime £6 10/ to £7 15/, light prime £5 to £6 5/, heavy prime young cows and heifers '£•5 to £6 15/. heavy iat cows £3 10/ to £4 15/. lighter £2 10/ to £3 5/. Other cows £1 to £2 5/.
