(By Telegraph.—rress Associatioa.l CHRISTCHrRC H. this day. In the Supreme Court to-day William C'oe, aged 64, came up for sentence on charges of theft and false pretences. He had plonded guilty to the theft of £9S premiums collected while agent of t'hp Tempcranr-e and fTeneral Mutual T,ife Association, and had made restitution. His Honor said it was not desirable that prisoner should be released on probation. He was fined £30. Winifred Cockle (Iβ). on six charges of breaking and entering, was admitted to probation for / three years.
