N.Z. RIFLE CHAMPIONSHIP.
MEETING AT PAPAWAI. (iiy Telegraph.—Press Association.* WELLINGTON, this day. The Xew Zealand Rifle Championship Meeting i 3 to be held at Papawai, near Greytown. commencing on Thursday, February 23, when the Ballinger Beit and other District Rifle Association cups and shields will he fired for, as would have been the case if the meeting were held in the ordinary way at Trent-hum. The first prize in each match will be £10, and in the King's Prize £50. There will be eight matches of £100 each, and total prize money of aljout £1200. The meeting will be controlled by a com'binatuli of the Dominion llifle Association and Wairarapa Association, Colonel Collins being chairman, assisted by Messre. Marshall and Fellingham, representing the Dominion Association, and Messrs King and Mx, representing the Wiirarapa. Mr. Webster, of Wairarapa. has been appointed secretary, and will 'b* assisted 'by Lieut. Williamson, of the District Rifle Association.
