Waimarino left 'Frisco for Auckland on Bth December; 305 parcel bags for New Zealand. Due here 2nd January. S.s. Makura left Vancouver for Auckland on Oth December; 183 bags for New Zealand. Due here, 30th December. POST OFFICE HOLIDAYS. The following arrangements will be observed in the chief post office, Auckland, during the Christmas and New Year holidays:—On Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve an afternoon delivery will be made by the postmen, and an over-counter delivery of town letters will be made in the postman's branch between 7 and S p.m. Postingboxes will be cleared at the usual times, with an additional clearance at 6 p.m. Boxing Day (December 26) and January 2 will be observed as close holidays. Mails usually dispatched on Mondays will be closed on both these days at 4 a.m. On Tuesday, December 27, the post office will be open in all branches (except the Money Order and Savings Bank) from 0 a.m. to 10 a.m. The usual dispatch of mails up to S a.m. will be made. One complete delivery will be made by the postmen, commencing at T. 30 a.m. The night clearance of street letter-boxes will be made on all holidays. Late-fee letters for the southern mails may be posted in the late-fee box at the entrance to the railway station up to 6.55 p.m. W. GEE, Chief Postmaster.
