PARLIAMENTARY GOSSIP.

VOTES FROM THE GAIXERT. MORE AJJJOTJRNMENT QUERIES. (By T_e_r_p_— I_rtUmc__u_ Reporter.) WELLINGTON, Friday. The daily question about the probable Gate of adjourning Parliament came as usual to-day when Mr. Holland, having in mind difficulties of members in reaching distant homes in time for Christmas, asked if the Premier could definitely state that he would adjourn on \\ edncsday next at the close of the afternoon's sitting. ' Mr. Massey's reply was that it was necessary" to finish-important business before deciding the date of adjournment. He wished to see the Finance Bill passed, also the Moratorium Amendment and Holidays Bill. There was not much.work in all three. Mr. Holland: You sec that we cannot book berths except on a certainty. Mr. Massey: I advise the hon. member to book his berth. (La.gotcr.) Mr. Fraser reminded the Premier of the Expiring Laws Continuance Bill, which contains rent legislation. He thought this should be passed before the adjournment. Mr. Massey concurred, remarking that he did not think this would cause any delay. Probably business in connection with the export of agricultural produce would take one afternoon for discussion, but the legislation necessary would be only of one clause. EGO PULP IMPORTS. "Personally I would like to sec the importation of egg pulp prohibited," re marked the Hon. E. P. J_ e , Minister in Charge of the Board of Trade, when he was asked to-day by Mr. Atmore if this could be done, so as to protect poultrykeepers who were paving high prices for poultry food. The Minister said that consideration would be given to the prohibition of egg pulp importations, wh*h came from China and Australia, or, as an alternative, that there be considerable restrictions. There was the viewpoint of the industry, also that of public health to consider in the matter.
