MISS RAPFE'S. HABITS. SAN FRANCISCO, November 27. At the trial of Roscoe Arbuckle, several medical specialists were called by the defence in an endeavour to prove that Miss Rappe's injuries were not caused by Arbuckle. TUpy gave evidence of treating similar injuries, the cause of which was spontaneous. Arbuckle's attorneys also attempted to place before the jury testimony to shew that a cold bath given t.o Miss Rappe after she hud been drinking might have caused her death. One physician testified that cold might have caused the injuries. Elaboration of this testimony eras barred in consequence of objection! raised by the prosecution. Tne defence prodiiced as a witness Irene Morgan, who testified that she met Miss Kappp at the home of Henry Lohvman, a cinematograph director, wiicre Miss Rappe lived. Witness was engaged as a nurse and housekeeper, and she testified that Miss Rappe was then suffering from internal trouble, and that many times witness saw her double up, cry out in and tear off her clothes. Two actors also gave evidence for the defence. One, named Harry Barker, was a. former sweetheart of Miss Rappe. He grave evidence that Miss Rappe was drunk en numerous occasions, and was always tearing off bl»r clothes.
