THE BEST WAY TO FEED PLANTS.
Various kinds of plants benefit immensely at certain periods by an application of liquid manure. To make certain of a specimen obtaining the greatest amount of good, a hole should be opened up quite close to the main stem of the plant. This should be deep enough to sink a pot in. The liquid should be poured into the pot, and it will slowly filter down through the hole in the bottom. In this way the liquid is preveuted from running all over the soil, a common happening in the case of applications given in the ordinary way.
