SUICIDE
DEATH OF MR- W. J. WALKER. -\ ccoustant. (By Telegraph-Press Association.) TK AWIVMUTU, this day. Mr W -J. Walker, a visitor, committed suicide hero last night. He had Ibeen suliering from nervous trouble for five months, and, after hospital treatment, came 'to Te Awa.mi.tu to recruit. He was nii*»ed early last evening and ■was subsequently 'found by a brotincr ' lying ben«at-l> a he<l»o, life being cxtim.'t. i Deceased was a resident of Devonport. where he was prominent in M-*sonry and Forestry circkSi He leaves a widow and three cihildren.
The late Mr. Walker resided at A'"ictoria Road. Devonport, and was a SOD of Air. W. J. Walker, a very old resident of Devouport. tie was an accountant in tiie employ of .Messrs. J. J. Craig, Ltd., but had been away from business during the five months on the score of ill-health. Deceased was also a prominent member of the Devonport, Albion and Foresters' Lodges.
