FOREIGN MiSSIOKS. The Auckland Methodist Synod resuiried this morning. It was announced that the missionary \ inribme had constituted a record, being f12,734j0r the year. This is the day on which NeW Zealand Methodism will assume the sole responsibility for ihe work in the Solomons. The Rpv. B. P. Blamire? was appointed District Secretary for foreign missions. The treasurers of the fund. Rev. G. T. Marshall and Mr. J. W. Court were heartily thanked for their i efficient services. I The Rpv. H. Rahstofi, M.A. was elteef- ! ted aa District Representative on the Stationing Committee, and Rev. J. Southern was elected substitute. The Centenary Thanksgiving Fuhd showed income, £33,142 4/1 for the Dominion; of that amount the Auckland district has contributed £17.151 1/8. The Synod expressed its sympathy with the movement towards reunion amongst the churches. I On the motion of the Rev. C. H. Laws! it was decided that a commission be set up to consider the developments that should bo undertaken in the Methodist Church in the Auckland city and suburbs. The Rev. W. A. Burley, M.A sub-1 mitted the Sunday School-anil Yaun*' People's Department report. The Coti ference was recommended to advise alt Sunday Schools to adopt the Australian graded lessons. The Rev. E. V.
