THOSE ABSURD TRAMS.
(To tUe Editor.) Sir, —1 see that an appointment is to be made of traffic manager .for the Auckland electric trims, and would respectfully suggest that o;ic of the questions asked would-be tralliu managers should be: "Do you approve of guessing competitions;" *Jf he replies in the affirmative, he should be forever barred. The law says that guessing competitions j and surprise packets arc illegal. • and still every night we have to guess where the trams are | going, and should we have the temerity to get on one, we are surprised to find that the destination has been altered to spite the unfortunates that drew a fair conclusion. Another point is that lin should have good practical experience of the three card trick.—l am, etc., T. D. HAMILTON.
