Mr. and Mrs. Xapicr, of Devonport, are leaving for New Zealand in December. Mrs. Muni Kalman, of Auckland, was staying at the Regent Palace Hotel, Piccadilly Circus, last month. The Misses Gardner, of Epsom, are in the Old Country, on a six months' visit. They are staying in Bloomsbury. Mr. and Mrs. H. Watson Airey, of Auckland, were in London in October. They are returning via Australia by the Orsova. Mr. R. Smallbone, of Meesrs. Sanford, Ltd., and Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Sanford, all of Auckland, are returning to New Zealand this month. Mr. P. J. Annan, of Point Ahuriri, is in London, prior to sailing on the 15th of October for New Zealand. Mrs. | Annan and the Misses Annan sail this j month. ! Among the recent New Zealand visitors to Kingussie, which is in the midst of the Inverness moorlands were the Rev. Tsaac .Tolly and Mrs. Tolly, of Auckland, and the Misses Harding. The members of the Haeremai Club for Women held a closing social in St. James' Hall, on Tuesday, November 22. A Very pleasant evening was spent. About three hundred and fifty members were present. The monthly meetings have been much appreciated by the working woman during the year, and have been well attended. The meetings will resume in March of next year. The engagement ie announced in a southern paper of Mies leobel Murphy, second daughter of Major and Mrs. J. S. Murphy, Remuera, Auckland, to Mr. Arthur Keaney, only son of Mrs. C. A. Keaney, Invereargill. The engagement is announced by the "DunedinStar" of Br. L. A. Spcd-ling, F.R.C.S., eon of Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Spcrlding, Dunedin, and Moua, eldest daughter of Mrs and the late Mr. T. S. Culling, Remuera, Auckland. To-morrow afternoon and evening the girls of the Y.'W.C.A. are holding their All Katione Fair, for which they have been working during the last three months. Stalls and costumes will represent fourteen different nations, aud on the stalle will be a large and varied array of artistic and useful articles at moderate prices, the majority of which have been made by the girls themselves. Mrs. Kenneth Mackenzie will open the Fair at 2.30 p.m.. and an attractive and amusing programme of eide-shows and a gymnasium display will be held both afternoon and evening. Proceeds are to go to the funds of the Y.W.C.A., both local and foreign. The marriage took place at All Saints' Church. Kamo, recently of Mies Katie Wilkinson, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mre. H. G. Wilkinson, to Mr. Edgar G. Wood, eldest eon of the late George J. Wood, Auckland. The bride, who entered the dh-urch on the arm of her father, wore cream honiton lace and georgette, and carried a sheaf of lilies, while the veil was caught back with pearls. The first bridesmaid was Mise Ella Raine, of Auckland, who wore white crepe-de-chine, and a large black picture hat, and she carried a shower bouquet of pink and lilac sweet peae. Mieses 'Millie and Laura Wilkinson, sisters of t'hc bride, wore cream aceordeon-pleated dresses, with iace, and leghorn hate trimmed with primrose silk net, and carried lilac bouquets. Mr. Norman McDonald, of Whau Valley, aoted as best man. Mr. Edward Wilkineon, brother of the bride, was groomsman. -After the ceremony a reception was held at Kamo Hall. The marriage took place at Sacred Heart Church recently of Miss Hazel Heerdegen, eldest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. .H. Hcerdegen. of Te Awamutu, to Mr. Heiyy Joseph McCarthy, second youngest son of Mrs. M. McCarthy, of Auckland. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. Frank Cann, wore white eatin and georgette, and the usual veil and orange blossom. The bridesmaids were Mi6s M.- McCarthy and >Jise Vera Heerdegen. Cork and her daughters are at present cisiting Hamilton. Mrs. Jerram paid a short visit to Hamilton last week. Mrs. O'SuHivan, of Raglan, is paying a visit to Hamilton. Mrs. Masters has gone to Auckland. The marriage took place in the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary on Thursday morning of Mr. C. J. Dv Flou, second son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Dv Flou, of Wellington, and Miss Mary Patricia Edmonds, youngest daughter of Mrs. Edmonds, of Hamilton East. The bride was given away by her brother (Mr. Oscar F.dmondsi. and wore white duchesse and pale pink crepe de chine, with veil and oransre blossoms; a shower bouquet was carried. Miss Cora Moore (cousin of the bride) was bridesmaid, and wore a frock of turquoise blue crepe de chine and black and blue hat. A little niece {Molly Thompson) was train bearer. Mr. F. Edmonds was best man. After the ceremony a reception took place at the residence of Mrs. H. J Greenelade, where the tables were decorated witli beautiful pink sweet peas and roses. To receive the guests Mrs. Edmonds wore a fawn costume and blue hat. Mrs. W. Thompson (sister of the bride), coat frock of putty cloth and rose hat; Mrs. Moore (grandmother of the bride), black silk, hat to match; Mrs H. J. Greenslade, black silk and blue bat. Others present were Mesdames Cork, J. E. Greenslade, Jerram, Jackson, and Misses McMullan, B. Cork, .H. Chitty, L. Cussen, E. Cork, Knock and R. Cussen.
