THE GRAMMAR SCHOOL.
TEACHERS RESIGNING. A number of resignations from masters of the Auckland Grammar School and of mistresses of the girls' schools under the control of the Grammar .School Board of Governors were received at yesterday's meeting.
The board regretted the npcessitv of accepting the resignation of the Rev. J. King Davie who had held the position of commercial and history master fT some time. During this year Mr. Davis' health had koen failing, and h? was unable to continue his duties. Mr. DavM had been a master at the school for "- years, and had received his earlier education at St. John's College. Mr. ]£. Caradue, science ma-tor at the Mount Eden School, sent In hi* resignation as iie would be taking up the position of first assistant and housemaster at the Nelson Boys' College next year. Four mistresses of the Howe Street iSthool. Misses I. Maclean, TizarJ, I. Paterson, and E. Bradley, and M 135 K. Sebtschka, of the Epsom School, also notified the board of their desire tJ resign their positions.
