POLICE COURT.
(Before Mr. J. \V. Poynton, S.M.) Constable Parkinson had his arms full yesterday and freely patronised the taxi-cabs', taking no less than five individuals from the lower end of Queen Street to inspect the handsome interior of the Police Station. Three of thcee were convicted this morning of having indulged in street pugilism--black eye? and face abrasions testifying to their wi.ilin.sne>*. if not to their skill in selfdefence. James Dunn (iS) and Charley MVOeahan (40) wer? each fined 20/. and ordered to pay the roft of their motor c-onvoyaiH-e to tlie Police Station. anJ Thomas Skclly HO) u-a* fined 40/, and a!?o ordered to pay motor hire.
