EXHIBITION GOLF.
KXRKWOOD AND EAST IN AUCKLAND. GAME FINISHES ALL SQUARE. The exhibition game between Kirkwood and East and lilair ami Watts on the Titirangi links this morning finished all square. Kirltwood was not playing at his best and was several times oil his line with his drives. His putting also was not up to form and at two holes he failed with two good putts. On the other hand several of Kirkworal's shots from the rough were very line, notably at the 12th, where lie made a magniiicent recovery. Blair, of the Maungakickie Club, played the best game of the four, his score of f>> being two strokes better than Kirkwood with his 77. East, Kirkwood's companion was erratic in the first half, but played much more soundly coming home, and at the long 17th placed his second within l-> feet of' the pin. Watt was not playing' up to form, especially on the greens. I'he game wan very exciting, and Blair with lii 10 putting saved tiie situation re- | peatedly.
