CONTROL OF EGYPT.

NO CHANGES YET. ELECTING AN ASSEMBLY. LONDON, October 28. In the House of Commons, Mr. 1). Lloyd George stated that it was untrue that Britain had practically agreed to all Egypt's requests. No change would be made in the relations of the countries without parliamentary discussion. Five Labour members of the House of Commons who visited Egypt report in favour of recognition of the complete independence of Egypt and the formation of a treaty of alliance between Egypt and Britain which must be approved by a popularly elected Egyptian Assembly. Britain should advise the Egyptian Government that Ihe election should be held immediately, and that negotiations for the treaty will be resumed with the nondelegation after the election.—(A. and N.Z. Cable.)
