ALLIES AND LITTLE ENTENTE. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) PARIS, October 2S. The Ambassadors' Conference decided, that Karl should be taken on board a 1 British gunboat at Budapest to await the decision as to his place of internment.
The British and French Governments' requests to the Little Entente to cense their military preparations as the Karl incident has ended is causing deep annoyance in Belgrade and Prague. It is asserted that England and I'rance show far more leniency to Hungary than is desirable in the interests of huropean fieace. —(A. and N.z. Cable.)
KARL'S HEALTH BROKEN. OWES £100,000 TO SWISS. LONDON, Octobcr 28. A Vienna telegram states that Karl s health has broken down, lie is weeping continuously, and is eating only soft food served by the ex-Empress. Jt is reported from Paris that Karl and his wife owe £100,000 in Switzerland. They have been living at the rate of £40,000 a year.
The resources of Karl's suite arc so limited that they arc living from hand to mouth, and have not sufficient money to leave Switzerland. 'Hie majority of the Crown jewels are pledged to Swiss banks.—(A. and NX Cable.)
