ONE TREE HILL.
■i The One-tree Hill Road Board met last l evening. There were preseut: Messrs. K. C. Clarke (chairman). T. 11. Roire, C L Mclntosh. C. K. Claytou, J. Paterson, and C. Purchase. The Board recently rcqnested the tram- I ways department to constitute Pukenui j Road a tram stop. The general manager, : in a reply, stated that as there existed a stop only 160 yards distant at Glndwiu ] Road, and another 240 yards away at Greenwood's Corner, the further stop was unnecessary. A deputation requested the Board to waive its by-law regarding the laying of water-maiDs on a live-acre section Hint was ■beinjt enh-tUrided. The Board replied that it-, conld not-depart from Its law.
