FIRE AT' HAMILTON.
evtde:nxe of burglary. {By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. Fire broke out shortly after midnight in the premises of Messrs. Rarnett, Alrott, Fee and Co., grocers. Flames were noticed issuing from the building by a tenant of an adjoining shop, who gave the alarm. The brigade arrived quickly, and succeeded in extinguishing the flames before much damage was done. The building was only slightly injured, and the major damage was caused by water.
It is suspected that the outbreak wa-i caused by burglars, for ii in notes was discovered to he missing from the till. The fiamairf* is estimated at between £700 and £HOO, there being a covering insurance of £900.
