HUSBAND OPPOSES DIVORCE.
JUDGE RESERVES DECISION". A defended petition for divorce was heard before Mr. Justice Adams at the Supreme Court yesterday, the petitioner, Sarah Jane Marshall (Mr. Singer), alleging desertion by or mutual separation from Ernest Edward Marshall (Mr. Pullen). painter.
Petitioner stated that the marriage, was in IRS.i. Her husband had a bud. sulky temper. In consequence there was unhappiness, and finally he asked her in 1011 when she was going.. She replied that she was ready and that day she and her son left the respondent. For two years she supported herself. In April, 1013, she met a man with whom she had been living, and whom she nowwished to marry.
The re.-pondent said the parties had nine children. Ite had not a bad temper, and he never deserted his wife. Even though she had lived with another man he wanted her back. His home had always been open to her. Having written her to forr.e bat.-k, he eon-idered he had done his d'lty. His Honor, who heard the ca.=e without a jury, re>erved judgment.
